Palestinian issue must turn into 1st Muslim priority

Representative of the Islamic jihad movement in Tehran has slammed Muslim figures for their passive stance towards the Israeli ongoing attacks on the al-Aqsa mosque.

Naser Abu Sharif was speaking to a panel debate on the status of the al-Aqsa mosque in Tehran on Monday.

Abu Sharif singled out the preacher of Mecca for only paying a limited lip service over the attacks and said the preacher should have called for a protest in favor of the endangered mosque in Mecca.

He also slammed Organization of Islamic Cooperation for not tabling the sensitive issue.

Abu Sharif warned that the Zionists are carrying out their rituals in the Muslim mosque in order to habituate the Palestinian community and the rest of the Muslim community to the insulting situation.

The Palestinian figure added that Muslim disunity has helped the Zionist regime to be successful in implementing its malicious projects against the mosque.

The Palestinian personality regretted that Israel has been joined by certain Arab states in its malicious projects.

Abu Sharif said the issue of Quds must turn into the foremost issue of the Muslim community, calling on the Muslim community to strive to push the Palestinian issue atop the Muslim agenda.

The panel debate was co-organized by the Society in Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN) and the Quds News Agency (Qudsna).
