Abbas: I will soon visit Iran

Acting head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas says he will visit Tehran soon on an official visit.

Abbas also confirmed reports that he had resigned from the executive committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization.

Abbas however set no specific date for his visit, adding the Iranian side has yet to agree any date for the visit.

The Palestinian figure was speaking to a group of reporters in Ramallah on Sunday, according to Sama news agency.
