Break-ins at al-Aqsa threat to its Islamic identity

The Palestinian Supreme Ifta Council on Thursday denounced the swift upsurge in Israeli desecration schemes and sacrilegious break-ins at Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Supreme Council said, in a press statement, that the calls, launched by the alleged temple mount organizations, for mass break-ins on the occasion of the so-called destruction of the temple, marked Sunday, is “a serious escalation” that “amounts to the official inauguration of a Jewish synagogue at the expense of Muslims’ rights and the inherently Islamic character of the holy shrine.”

The council warned of an imminent “religious war” to rock the region in case such Israeli desecration plots are not brought to a halt.

It further warned of Israeli intents to Judaize Occupied al-Quds ('Jerusalem') and hold sway over the al-Aqsa Mosque.

“The holy al-Aqsa, with its overall area, corridors, and underground parts is for Muslims’ only; and Occupied al-Quds will forever remain faithful to its Islamic and Arabic identity,” it added.

The Islamic Council called on Muslims around the world to head to the Mosque and maintain vigil within it so as to paralyze Israel’s vandalizing grips before it is too late.
