Iranian activists in Tunisia

A group of Iranian activists joining an international conference on the Palestinian issue in Tunisia have staged a number of workshops and joined a number of events in support of the Palestinian nation. A report on their activities follow.

Anti-Israeli march

Members of NGOs joining an international conference against the Israeli occupation in Tunisia have staged a march against the Zionist regime.

The march was led by deputy leader of the Islamic Movement in the 1948-occupid Palestine, Kamal Khatib.

The marchers carried Palestinian flag and chanted slogans against the eight-year siege on Gaza.

"Free Gaza," "break the Gaza siege," "Palestine from River to Sea," "Nation wishes freedom of Aqsa mosque," "by blood and soul we redeem Palestine," they chanted.

The marchers also urged international bodies to stop the Israeli settlement expansion and help lift the siege on Gaza.

March on Land Day

A large number of activists with world's pro-Palestinian NGOs have staged a march in Tunisia on the occasion of the Palestinian Day of Land.

During the march, the activists chanted slogans in support of Palestine and condemnation of the Zionists regime.

They also shouted 'death to the US' and 'death to Israel.'

The marchers called the option of resistance against Israel as the sole option to free Palestine.

The activists also burned an Israeli flag and signed to a petition calling for the formation of a Palestinian state from the River to the Sea.

Workshop 1: Zionist lobbies forming int'l imperialism

A group of Iranian experts joining a gathering in Tunisia on the Palestinian issue have made their cases about the position of Zionist lobbies in the US and the EU in trampling on the Palestinian rights, saying the lobbies have jointly formed a global hegemony.

An Iranian expert with the pro-Palestinian NGO, Neda said Zionism serves as a racist, violent thought and a supporter of terrorism worldwide.

Sayyed Ja’far Razavi said the so-called Protocols of Zionists stand as a reliable source to assess the Zionist attitude towards the world.

The expert said the protocols as a plan of action define the true face of Zionists and how they plan to get the grip of the world.

“Under the protocols, Zionists consider non-Jews as beasts that should be governed through violence and terror,” the expert said.

The expert said the emergence of the ISIL terror group was a Zionist conspiracy to advance its goals in the world.

“Zionism has no ties with Judaism,” the expert noted.

Reflecting a similar idea, Iranian expert Sayyed Abdollah Hosseini said the global Zionism today stands as a true incarnate of imperialism as it seeks to govern the entire world through force.

The pro-Palestinian expert said a review of the past century’s political developments would help show how the Zionists expanded their realm of power and force throughout the world.

The expert noted that the emergence of the Islamic Revolution in the sensitive territory of Iran helped largely keep the Zionist project at bay.

Hosseini also touched on the ongoing Islamic awakening waves across the Middle East as a sequel of the Iranian revolution and said the Muslim awakening will gradually push the Zionist project to the brink.

And, Member of the Assembly of Iranian Pro-Qods NGOs, Ahmad Soroushnejad said Zionist lobbies in the US and the EU have already produced a long record in trampling on the rights of the Palestinian nation.

The expert touched on the role of the US-based AIPAC in supporting the Zionist regime of Israel and quoted the then Zionist prime minister, Ben Gurion as saying “God has granted oil to Arabs and the AIPAC to Israel.”

The expert noted that the US Zionist lobby has kept its influence over the US foreign policy despite many differences it has ever had with various US administrations.

Soroushnejad said other Zionist lobbies are active across the world especially in France that promote the Israeli interests against the Palestinian nation.

The expert said the lobbies keep their influence through media and legal institutes in the world countries.

“French media opt for keeping silence towards the Palestinian issue so that they are not the subject of libels and pressures by the Zionist lobbies,” the Iranian expert said.

Workshop 2: Experts delve into Palestinian issue

Iranian experts joining an international conference on the Palestinian issue in Tunisia have delved into the latest developments in Palestine in a second workshop in the country.

Senior pro-Palestinian activist Forouz Rajayifar considered the crises facing Gaza following the 2014 summer war, saying the besieged enclave suffers from housing shortage, malnourishment, and war-related mental and physical woes.

She also cited widespread damages to Gaza's infrastructure, saying the damages have been compounded by the eight year siege.

Also, researcher in Middle East affairs, Hossein Sirous considered the role of world NGOs in the establishment of peace in the Middle East saying, the non-governmental are true representatives of the nations.

The expert maintained if the NGOs are allowed to play their role, sustainable peace and justice would establish in the Middle East.

Sirous then proposed a checklist of activities to give the NGOs more share in the Palestinian issue, including demanding the governments, focusing on religious commonalities in the issue of justice, and enhancing the NGOs in terms of social communication skills.

And, Iranian expert Ahmad Soroushnejad expounded on Iran's four-stage solution for the Palestinian issue, namely the return of Palestinian refugees to their historical land, the staging of a democratic election with all original population of Palestine having a right to vote, the establishment of a political system based on the Palestinian will, and the decision of the system about the non-original population of Palestine.

The club is going to absorb and organize pro-Palestinian youths worldwide.
