Sderot population to show apathy

A large number of Israelis residing in the illegal Sderot settlement near Gaza say they would not vote in the upcoming elections.

The Israelis who are largely supporting the ruling Likud party say they have decided to show apathy in protest against the existing war-related problems in the settlement.

Shimon Omer, 53, says nothing would change after the elections and for the sam reason, he and his colleagues have decided no to vote, according to Paltoday website.

Zionist daily Maariv says the Sderot population has become indifferent to elections due to the failure of the Israeli authorities to meet their vows to stop the firing of rockets from Gaza into the settlement.
