S. African activists stage protest against Zionist event

Anti-Israeli activists in South Africa shouted staged a a protest against a pro-Israel event in suburban Johannesburg with a government official leading the protest.

The protesters belonged to the Israeli Apartheid Week and Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement and the event was staged in front of the Zionist Federation South Africa-Israel Expo in Sandton on Sunday.

They shouted you Jews do not belong in South Africa” and “No Zionist conference to be held on our soil.”

Government deputy minister Obed Bapela was leading the protest.

The protest had been advertised via Facebook on a page called Israeli Apartheid Week Protest (Sandton).
