Chief of Israeli forces warns of new Intifada

The newly appointed Israeli army Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot has stated that the Israeli military needs to be ready for a new Intifada, or attacks against Israeli targets.
Eisenkot has also speculated the possibility of a full confrontation between the Palestinian Authority and Tel Aviv.
His remarks came after the Israeli military wrapped up, on Monday evening, large-scale military drills in different parts of the occupied West Bank, especially the occupied al-Khalil (‘Hebron’).
Thousands of Israeli forces and military commanders participated in the maneuver in and around Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, using live fire.
They also tested different military scenarios that included "attempts to abduct soldiers, in addition to bombings or attacks in settlements," Israeli daily Maariv has reported.
