Zuhri: Dagan's remarks prove victory

Spokesman of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas said Friday that recent remarks by the former chief of Israel's Mossad spy agency concerning the failure of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza had confirmed that the Palestinian resistance had won last summer's conflict.

Sami Abu Zuhri said Meir Dagan's remarks constituted proof of Israel's defeat.

"Israel's attempts to play down its defeat by the resistance have fallen short," Abu Zuhri said in a statement.

Dagan said the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mishandled the Israeli war on Gaza in 2014 summer that turned genocidal when the regime’s army resorted to the mass killings of the Palestinian civilians in a bid to crush the resolve of the Palestinian fighters.

“What did we achieve? Nothing, other than a ceasefire that will be broken when Hamas decides,” he said.

“Netanyahu handled things the wrong way. The only thing that interested him was getting photographed with maps. They say Netanyahu acted responsibly. Responsibly? It was a cover-up for doing nothing. There was no thought process for what they wanted to achieve with this operation.”
