1979 revolution, an anti-tyranny initiative
A Palestinian lawmaker says the Islamic Revolution of Iran undeniably left a positive effect on the Palestinian issue and ushered in unprecedented developments in favor of Palestine in the international scene.
Yahya Mousa was speaking to the Qods News Agency in Tehran on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the landmark revolution that is set to be marked on February 11.
Also a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, Mousa said the Iranian revolution presented the humanity with thoughts that were helpful for “their freedom from the claws of tyranny and occupation.”
“The Islamic Revolution taught humans to strive to get free from tyrant rulers,” he added.
The lawmaker then recalled the renowned idea of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini that Israel lives as a cancerous tumor in the body of the Muslim community, adding “it is a Quranic promise that the Zionist regime would perish eventually.”
“The Zionist regime continues life under the auspices of America however it is doomed to collapse,” Mousa said.
