Gaza-related anti-Jewish incidents double in Austria

Anti-Jewish incidents have nearly doubled in Austria last year apparently in a direct relationship with the mounting Israeli aggressions against Palestinians, Qods News Agency reports.

A Vienna-based pro-Jewish watchdog group says it has recorded some 255 incidents last year, compared to 137 in 2013.

The watchdog, dubbed ‘Forum Against Anti-Semitism’ also says the figure is the highest recorded since 2008, surpassing the previous record year of 2009 by more than 22 percent, or 55 incidents.

Similar increases have been recorded in Belgium and France during and following the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza in summer in which over 2300 people were killed mostly women and children.

Of the 255 incidents documented in Austria, nine were physical attacks and 57 were cases of vandalism, according to Israeli media.
