Netanyahu harming Israeli interests by US speech

A Zionist personality who vies for the upcoming general elections in Israel as a leading opponent of the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the prime minister has undermined the Israeli security interests by its decision to travel to the US at the invitation of the US senators for a talk in the country’s congress.
Isaac Herzog who heads the so-called Labor Party in Israel told the regime’s Army Radio that Netanyahu’s behavior was violent and that he was harming the security interests of Israel, Qods News Agency reports.
Netanyahu has been invited by the extremist senators to make a speech on the much-fussed ‘threat of Iran’ in the congress even as Israel continues to be in the hold of a large nuke arsenal and dares committing war crimes against the Palestinian nation on a regular basis.
Figures like Herzog in Israel however are critical of the way Netanyahu has embarked on the congress speech while they are in the same boat with the firebrand prime minster as to the Iranian debate.
Herzog and his like-minded colleagues say if Netanyahu imagined that the speech, scheduled for two weeks before the March 17 elections in Israel, would bolster his status as statesman, his way of arranging the speech has been undiplomatic and would inflict a blow to the Israeli interests.
