Israel condoled with Abdullah's death?!

Qods News Agency reports:

Israeli authorities have joined those top authorities in the world who have expressed their condolences over the death of former Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah. The Israeli sympathy however is a bit bizarre as the regime has no official relations with the Kingdom.

An answer may be that the two sides have already built up robust relations by joining their ranks in the regional alliances, including those against the regional resistance groups that took place on several occasions, namely the 33-day Lebanese war in 2006, the 22-day Gaza war in 2008, the Syrian crisis and the Iranian nuclear issue. Tel Aviv actually seeks to draw its ranks closer to the Arab state more than before by sending sympathies.

The Saudi Arabian regime has also served the Israeli interests in other issues including the Palestinian issue and the Charlie Hebdo blasphemous case. Saudi Arabia’s ongoing confrontation against the regional resistance has gradually sidelined the Palestinian issue. Also, the Arab regime that credits itself with keeping the holiest places of Islam also failed to take any stance against the French magazine’s act of blasphemy against the Last Messenger of Allah, further serving the Israeli interests.

King Abdullah also took a relatively pro-Israeli stance in 2000 when he tabled an Arab peace plan for the Palestinian issue under which Israel would be recognized in return for its withdrawal to the 1967 borders. The seemingly peaceful plan actually provided a breathing space for Israel in the region and fetched it some unofficial recognition without meeting the return part of the plan by any means.

Zionist regime has a good reason to join the chorus of sympathies for the late king.
