Over 600 sick Palestinian captives held in Israeli jails

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club (PPC) yesterday warned of the dangerous repercussions following the Israeli authorities' continued policy to ignore the needs of sick Palestinian captives, a statement said.
The organisation said that 600 Palestinian captives held in Zionist regime’s jails are suffering from different kinds of diseases. Some 160 of them are suffering from critical conditions.
PPC mentioned the case of Palestinian captive Ali Hassan from Qalqilia, who was humiliated and torture during interrogation.
In 2004, his hands were tied together behind his back and he was later hanged from his hands. PPC said medical reports showed that Hassan suffers from a herniated disk and has been awaiting surgery for several years.
According to the PPC's statement, Hassan is given painkillers by injection. He also suffers from chronic asthma.
Hassan, who has been in prison since 2003, is serving a life sentence in addition to seven years.
