"Jewish state law" aims to displace Palestinians

Arab member of the Israeli parliament and head of the National Democratic Assembly Party Wassel Taha warned Wednesday of the serious implications of Israeli attempts to approve legislation defining Israel as a nation-state for Jewish people.

The Israeli bill would reinforce racism against Palestinians inside the Green Line and would further escalate tensions, he said, according to PIC.

Approving such a racist bill aims to attract more Jews all over the world to settle in Palestine as “a Jewish land,” he told Quds Press.

“The bill, which is intended to become part of Israel’s basic laws, constitutes a real threat to Palestinians inside the Green Line and to the Palestinian cause as a whole.”

Taha stressed the need to internationally expose Israel’s apartheid policy against Palestinians in Palestine 48.

The main aim behind this racist law is to displace more Palestinians from their homeland, he warned.
