Netanyahu on passive guard in UNGA
Qudsna, Ahmad Kazemzadeh:
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu in a UNGA speech sought to distort the realities on the ground in by comparing the Palestinian resistance with the ISIL terror group. Netanyahu also made a brawl over Iran's peaceful nuclear program while also calling Iran's presidential plea for peace as a croc's tears.
Netanyahu's remarks signal a passive position on his part rather than an innovative one; the Zionist regime has already sought to distort the peaceful nature of Iran's program in a bid to fuel its iranophobia propaganda and sidelines the Palestinian issue. The firebrand individual is now worried that a resolution of the Iranian issue would leave him toothless and would put the international spotlight on the Israeli nuke arsenal.
Similarly, Netanyahu's fiery speech on the Palestinian group appears to be prompted by a move for convergence among the Palestinian groups against the Zionist enemy.
Indeed, Netanyahu was also emboldened by the US-led so-called anti-ISIL coalition in its attacks on Hamas. The Israeli prime minster seems to have the intention to use the coalition as a lever against Hamas, modeling the Saudi Arabia's efforts to use the coalition as a lever against the Muslim Brotherhood.
