Mother of Palestinian newborn arrested 2 days after delivery
PIC reported:
Israel has detained a Palestinian lady kidnap-style just a couple of days after she gave birth to her baby at Soroka Hospital, in Beer Sheva.
The captured woman, mother of six Palestinian children, was rounded up by the Israeli occupation patrols under the pretext of being an illegal resident of the 1948 occupied Palestine.
Arab Member of the Israeli parliament Taleb Abu Arar in a letter he dispatched to the Israeli ministers of the interior and minister of internal security on Tuesday, described the arrest as “an act of moral turpitude.”
The incarcerated lady delivered her six kids in Soroka hospital in Beer Sheva, south of the 1948 occupied Palestine, before she was nabbed in that very place a few days ago under flimsy pretexts, he added in a press release.
The Israeli occupation authorities have turned down the detainee’s appeals to work out her residency and identity status after a temporary residency rule, barring Gazan and West Banker women married to Palestinian “citizens of Israel” from acquiring citizenship, was swiftly issued by the occupation government and closed all gates before the mother.
Abu Arar called for an immediate halt to such arbitrary measures and for restoring the lady’s freedom so that she can go back to her newly-born baby.
