Resistance weapon belongs to nation

A senior Hamas member, Ezzat al-Reshaq has reaffirmed that all efforts by Israel and its allies to disarm the Palestinian resistance have ended up in failure.

The Hamas political bureau member said the Hamas movement would avoid political disputes as it bears the duty of serving the Palestinian nation, Paltoday website reported.

Al-Reshq noted that the Palestinian resistance's weapon belonged to the Palestinian nation and not a certain resistance group.

Al-Reshq's remarks came after the acting PA head Mahmoud Abbas said it would refuse joining a unity government unless the sides reach an agreed stance on the issues of weapon and legitimacy.
