Israel Police urges for trial of ex-chief rabbi

The Israel Police announced on Tuesday it had completed its investigation into former Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Yona Metzger.

The police urged for the trial of the former chief rabbi for accepting bribes and other offenses.

Former Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi has been suspected of accepting millions of shekels worth of bribes during his 10-year term.
