Indyk likely to resign his post

Al-Manar newspaper based in 'Jerusalem' (occupied al-Quds) talks of a state of despair among the US team that is charged with the 'peace' talks between Israel and the Palestinian authority.

The daily quoted a senior source that Martin Indyk who represents the US government in the talks has decided to resign his post as he sees a gloomy prospect for the peace efforts.

Al-Manar quoted the unnamed source as quoting Indyk that no peace may come true under the US Secretary of State, John Kerry's plan as the Palestinians refuse to recognize Israel as a 'Jewish state' and insist that the east 'Jerusalem' (al-Quds) must be the capital of their future state.

The daily said Indy is mulling to resign over the deadlock.

The daily also said the US President Barak Obama and his foreign minister are reluctant to pres Israel over presidential election concerns.
