PA head to speak in Israeli parliament
Palestinian Authority Head Mahmoud Abbas is preparing to address the Israeli parliament, a Fatah official told Anadolu Agency on Thursday.
Mahmoud al-Madani said the visit is not based on an invitation from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to recognize Israel as a 'Jewish nature' but a call for establishment of Palestinian state.
The Washington-sponsored 'peace' talks between the two sides resumed last July after a three-year hiatus.
Results of the talks – which are focused on final settlement issues, borders, Israeli settlements, occupied al-Quds ('Jerusalem') and the return of Palestinian refugees – are yet in dark.
