Syrian crisis made to divert attention from Palestinian issue

A Hezbollah representative said the Syrian crisis has been actually incited so that Muslim attention is diverted from the Palestinian issue.

Sayyed Ibrahim Amin made the remarks in the first day of the 27th conference on Islamic Unity that started work in Tehran on Friday.

The Lebanese personality said the western powers by fomenting discord among Muslims are seeking to divert the world attention from the Palestinian issue.

He suggested that the west was actually seeking to wipe Palestine and the occupied Quds from the page of time.

The Hezbollah representative denounced claims that the resistance movement was meddling in the Syrian issue, arguing that Hezbollah has actually took to the region so that the region does not fall into the hand of the US and Israel.

The Lebanese personality warned that the war in Syria was undercutting the victories of the Islamic ummah in economy, science and culture.

He also said it behooves on the Muslim intellectuals to stand against enemies of Islam. "The future of the world of Islam depends on our unity," he said.
