Peres expresses support for same-sex marriage

Israeli President Shimon Peres has reportedly expressed unequivocal support for same-sex marriage during a state visit to Mexico.

In an interview with Ynet on Sunday while in Mexico's Guadalajara, Peres even violated his own Jewish percepts by saying "even a person who is a homosexual is a human being, and he has rights. We have no power to take away (their) rights."

"We cannot take away someone's rights because they are different."

Peres' comments came in response to a new Isaeli government bill which attempts to regulate some form of a civil partnership between the abnormal form sexual life.
