Dutch students visit Al Khalil

A delegation of Dutch students from Amsterdam University visited the southern West Bank city of Al Khalil on Tuesday and met with the governor Dr Hussein Al-A'raj.

He explained that the Palestinian residents of Al Khalil are suffering because of the presence of Israeli forces and settlers, especially in the city.

The governor said the visit was important as it enabled the students to see the situation in Al Khalil firsthand.

He also talked about the 400 Israeli settlers who live in the middle of Al Khalil, explaining that they often assault Palestinian residents and take control of Palestinian schools, homes and shops.

Furthermore, the governor discussed the increasing rate of unemployment in the Palestinian territories.
