Islamic Jihad SG rejects Carter's invitation for meeting

 

According to Lebanese daily, Al Akhbar, Islamic Jihad office in Damascus announced that an invitation for a meetign between Shalah and Carter has been dellivered by Cairo government.

 

Egyptian officials told Abdullah about Carter's interests for meeting with Shalah and the members of Islamic Jihad as well as commanders of popular front for the liberation of Palestine but Abdullah refuses to accept the invitation, the daily reported.

 

Islamic Jihad said the decision was taken upon belief that Carter's move has come in line with an Israeli-American agenda.
