UAE, Qatar urge for Arab unity
UAE President, sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Qatari Emir, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, advised the Arab countries to adopt a common stance against threats and rapid developments in the region.
The UAE President said in the sensitive situations, Arab states have no way but to unite and continue consultation to support their future.
Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is in Damascus to attend the 20th Arab League summit added that the critical situation in Gaza, occupied Palestine, Iraq and Sudan needs a common stance by Arabs to prevent the Zionist regime's crimes and interferences of other countries in the Arab states' internal affairs.
"Undoubtedly, the unity will help ensure stability and security in the region," he reiterated.
Meanwhile, the Qatari Emir appreciating presence of a number of heads of Arab state in the Damascus summit, said the summit is an opportunity for resolving differences between Arabs.
