40-day-old falls ill in Israeli prison

The youngest captive in the world, 40-day-old Yousif Az-Ziq from Gaza City, who was born to a Palestinian female captive Fatima Az-Ziq, was hospitalized in the prison's clinic at the Israeli prison of Hasharon, after he suffered from a high fever.

Sources from the Nafha Association for Defending Prisoners and Human Rights stated that a freed female captive, Samar Sbaih, had informed them of the situation.

Sbaih said that the child's temperature had risen seriously.

Another infant captive, according to Nafha, is 19-month old baby girl Ghada Abu Umar, daughter of Khawla Zeitawi, who is serving a two-year sentence in an Israeli prison.

The Nafha society appealed to international humanitarian organizations to free both women and child captives from Israeli prisons.
