4 Palestinians martyred in Gaza

Four Palestinian activists were martyred in an Israeli air raid on the Gaza Strip late Thursday, Palestinian medical sources said.

The four -- all members of the Al-Quds Brigade, the armed branch of Islamic Jihad -- were martyred when Israeli aircraft struck the southern town of Khan Yunis.

Earlier Thursday an Israeli soldier was killed, and three others wounded, in an attack on an Israeli patrol, while a Palestinian was martyred in a subsequent air strike in the north of the Gaza Strip.
