US spectator of Gaza' massacre-Envoy

 IRI Ambassador to Kuwait on Wednesday considered United States and Europe as nonchalant spectators of brutal massacre of Palestinians.

Ali Jannati made the comment in an interview published in Wednesday edition of Kuwait's al-Qabas daily, adding, "Careless stand adopted by the United States and the European countries towards the hardships endured by the oppressed Palestinian nation is no longer surprising to the world Muslims."

He emphasized, "Iran has always strongly condemned the Zionist regime's aggressive moves in Gaza Strip and the rest of the occupied Palestinian lands."

The Iranian Ambassador added, "Iran has been supporting the Palestinian nation's righteous liberation movement ever since the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution and the IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad recently asked for convening of an urgent meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Conference to seek a solution to the ongoing crisis in Palestine."

Jannati said, "If only one American, or European citizen would get killed anywhere in the world they raise a huge propaganda over the matter, while dozens of Palestinians, including young children get martyred all over occupied Palestine every day, raising practically no reaction at all in the West that claims to be the standard bearer of human rights."

He added, "No wonder they remain so indifferent towards Israeli crimes and broad violations of the human rights, since we all know the Americans and Europeans are the supporters of Israel, and they favor the worsening of any crisis for the Palestinians in occupied Palestine."

Iran's Ambassador to Kuwait meanwhile focused on US President George W. Bush's recent visit of Israel, followed by his defeated visit of some regional countries, arguing, "The visit was mainly aimed at strengthening Israel's status, which was why right after it the Zionists intensified their criminal acts against Gaza residents." Jannati said, "Iran's support for the oppressed Palestinian nation is not limited to our spiritual support, since we have always been sending them the humanitarian aid they need, particularly during the ongoing Gaza crisis."

He meanwhile asked the Islamic countries and the UN Security Council to adopt practical measures, including broad condemnation of the Zionists' crimes against humanity, in order to halt Israel's punishment of the entire Gaza residents.
