Qardawi warns about Israeli nuke arsenal

Head of International Union for Muslim Scholars Sheikh Yusuf Al- Qardawi said on Saturday that a nuclear Iran is not a threat to regional countries, but all Muslims should support the Islamic nation.

According to the Palestine Information Dissemination Center, Qardawi underlined that Iran and other world nations are
entitled to make use of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

The Islamic scholar also said, "For what reason certain powers attempt to restrict Iran from its indisputable nuclear right. Is it for its Islamic nature?"
The Zionist regime has a arsenal of about 200 nuclear warheads and bombs, which is a real threat to security of the region, he noted.

Qardawi further said that being a Sunni will not prevent him from supporting Iran on regional and international affairs.
