2 Jihad leaders survive assassination

Two Al-Quds Brigades leaders, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, survived an assassination attempt on Friday in the West Bank town of Qabatia, when an undercover Israeli force attacked them in the old part of the town.

A Brigades spokesman said that three cars with Palestinian number plates carrying more than ten Israeli undercover soldiers. They pulled up in a wooded area of the old town near the Brigades leaders. Armed clashes broke out during which the resistance fighters were able to escape as the Israeli unit withdrew.
