Israeli airstrikes martyred 3 in Gaza

Israeli airstrikes have martyred three members of Islamic Jihad and wounded three others in separate attacks, Palestinian officials say.

The dead and wounded who were all members of the Islamic Jihad group were hit in separate raids in Gaza on Saturday, medical and security officials said.

The latest airstrike martyred three Palestinians north of the Gaza city.

Three more Islamic Jihad members were wounded earlier the same day east of Gaza City, two of them seriously, medics said.

The Israeli military confirmed two strikes, claiming the men were preparing to launch rockets into Israel.

The Israeli army has carried out near-daily air and ground strikes on the Gaza Strip since Hamas took control of the area last June.
