Netanyahu to start India trip from Ahmedabad

PM Narendra Modi, who was given a rousing welcome on his arrival at Tel Aviv in July, invited Netanyahu to visit India starting from Ahmedabad, ignoring all domestic opposition groups who were against the plan and also held massive protests to pressure Modi to cancel Netanyahu’s visit to India.

Indian cities were witness to massive rallies and demonstrations since Trump recognized al-Qods as the capital of Israel in a unilateral controversial declaration.

Netanyahu is scheduled to hold substantial meetings in Delhi on January 15-16 followed by a possible trip to Mumbai on January 17 that may include a visit to the Jewish Chabad. Netanyahu, who is due to head back to occupied territories on January 18, may also visit Agra.

Indian Defense ministry said India will buy 131 surface-to-air missiles from Israel as Netanyahu begins his four-day trip to India.

India and Israel are involved in a number of trade deals in space, agriculture and water cooperation. Israeli war companies are also actively involved in a plan by Zionist regime "Make in India" initiative with joint ventures with several Indian companies.

This will be the second visit to India by the regime's officials, since Ariel Sharon’s trip in 2003.

“In the past year, I have visited all continents besides Antarctica. And in January, I will make a reciprocal visit to my dear good friend, Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, whose population is a significant part of humanity,” Netanyahu said at the opening of the Knessets (Zionist regime parliament) winter session in October.
