Palestinian ex-detainees, whose salaries have been cut off by the Palestinian Authority (PA), along with their families organized a protest on Tuesday before the headquarters of the Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) in Ramallah City. The event was held in coincidence with the PLC weekly session to demand cancelling the decision and paying their salaries.
One of the participants in the event told PIC that this move is part of a series of protest events and the open-ended sit-in which has been held for the 17th day in a row to protest the salaries cut-off decision.
The PA security forces who were intensively deployed in the area tried to ban the protesters from approaching the PLC gate, he pointed out.
