SLankan Sheikh: Imam Khomeini revived Islam and Quds by designating Int’l Quds Day
With the 32nd anniversary of International Quds Day coming, the Imam and Khatheeb of Rahmaniya Mosque in Colombo of Sri Lanka told Qodsna that the late Imam Khomeini revived Islam and Quds by designating the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day.
Sheikh Mohammad Hassan Moulavi Al-Azhari called on all Muslims to unite against arrogance and tyranny.
Imam Khomeini and his follower, the Islamic Revolution leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei have always been pioneer in supporting the oppressed people especially the Palestinian nation, he added.
The Imam of Sri Lankan mosque also said that the current uprisings in the Middle East are inspired by the Islamic revolution of Iran.
Following the Islamic Awakening in the region, this year we will witness massive participation of Muslims in the International Quds Day ceremonies, he noted.
