SDPN urges Hamas to be cautious, noting "Carter is better known as Camp David deal broker"
An expert with Iran-based Society in Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN) described Jimmy Carter's recent visit to the Middle East as a new effort to rescue the Zionist regime from its current crises.
Hussein Rooyvaran said the visit by the former US president was part of America and Zionist regime's projects to shore up the shaking pillar of the regime and help it keep its aggressive mood in the Middle East.
Rooyvaran reminded that Carter had taken a first step in solidify Israel in Camp David where it brokered a compromise deal between Egypt and Israel triggering huge cracks in the Muslim and Arab front against the regime.
"Carter's new mood could no be analyzed in isolation from his political records," the expert said.
The expert noted that the Israeli regime proved increasingly vulnerable after the party of resistance came to power. "Israel has rushed to ease the spiraling situation," the expert said.
"Israel offered a Gaza-only ceasefire to Hamas but the movement rejected the offer and said any truce offer must also cover the West Bank," Rooyvaran said, adding the Carter's trip was aimed to sway Hamas to accept the Israeli offer.
