Hunger striker Balboul rushed to intensive care

Hunger-striking prisoner Mahmoud al-Balboul has been admitted to an Israeli hospital's intensive care unit following a sharp decline in his health condition.

According to the Palestinian commission for detainees' and ex-detainees' affairs on Sunday, the health condition of Balboul has become very critical after he lost more than 30 kilograms of his weight and became very weak and unable to speak easily.

Israeli doctors also keep warning that the hunger striker may suffer physical paralysis if he refuses to take vitamins and fluids other than water.

Balboul started his hunger strike on July 1, 2016 in protest at his detention administratively, with no indictment or trial.
