Israeli min seeks to expand security guards' authorities
Israeli Minister of 'Public Security' Gilad Erdan has urged the regime's parliament to expand the authority of security guards in public places.
Erdan asked for an amendment that would apply to guards at public institutions, shopping malls, and places like convention halls and public pools.
He has wished the guards to be able to detain individuals until the arrival of a police officer.
The amendment would also authorize guards to demand the person's name and identification card.
The security guards would also be permitted to prevent entry and remove people from the location.
This would allow the ordinary guards to prevent any Palestinian from entering any such public places.
That appears to be another act in frustration in the face of the ongoing anti-occupation activism by the Palestinian people.
