Israel emboldened by Muslims' passivity
An Iranian expert in Middle East affairs says the Zionist regime's attacks on the al-Aqsa mosque took palace amid an assurance within the regime about no reaction from the embattled Muslim community.
Masoud Asadollahi told the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) that the Arab world's inactiveness has apparently provided the Zionist regime with a historical opportunity to destroy the al-Aqsa mosque and build their phony Solomon tomb.
"They are testing the Muslim community. They would intensify their actions if the Muslim community fails to produce any reaction," he said.
The expert said the current Palestinian protests are motivated by the Zionist regime's aggressions against the mosque as well as a growing frustration among the Palestinians about the Palestinian Authority.
The expert also noted that Hamas has made a strategic mistake by taking refuge in Qatar and Turkey at the cost of its bond to the axis of resistance. "Hamas' continued failure would prevent it from playing a role in the face of Israel as Turkey and Qatar would not allow it to do so," he said.
