BDS activists grew more popular in Germany
With the anti-Israeli activists growing in force and popularity in Germany, the German government rejected a call by the pro-Zionist groups in the country to label the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement (BDS) as anti-Semitic.
Responding to a legislative questionnaire released Thursday by leading pro-Israeli Green Party MP Volker Beck, the German administration wrote that “there does not exist a general academic definition” of anti-Semitism.
The German government said it defined anti-Semitism, as “political, social, racist and religious” hostility toward Jews.
