Netanyahu could not beat Iran by Congress speech

A former Israeli espionage chief has flayed the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his planned anti-Iran speech in the US Congress in March, saying Netanyahu could not beat Iran by the speech, Qods News Agency reports.

Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin made the remarks in an electoral speech in his party, dubbed the Zionist Camp.

The chief of Israeli army's intelligence from 2004 to 2006 said the Netanyahu government brought the Israeli relationship with the United States to a severe low point.

"Netanyahu will not overcome Iran with pathos-ridden speeches to Congress, but by creating an intimate relationship of trust with the president of the United States," he added, according to the Zionist news outlet, Ynetnews.
