5 EU states condemn demolition of fighters' homes

Ambassadors from five major European Union (EU) member states met have voiced their opposition to the demolition of the homes of Palestinians fighters who conduct anti-Israeli operations.

Germany, France, Britain, Italy and Spain were the five countries whose consuls general said such demolitions are counterproductive.

The ambassadors also denounced a retaliatory attack on synagogue Tuesday in which five Zionists were killed.

A secret document was published this week showing that the EU is circulating guidelines to sanction Israel if it continues Jewish settlement construction in the occupied al-Quds ('Jerusalem').
