Hamas denies presence of al-Qaeda forces in Gaza

A Hamas authority has denied the presence of any al-Qaeda forces or forces loyal to the Islamic State of Iraq in Gaza.

"The al-Qaeda terrorists have no place in Gaza," Salah Bardavil said.

His remarks came after several websites posted a clip that showed a number of masked Salafi men in black who identified themselves as al-Qaeda members.

Bardavil said the clip was fake and was posted in an effort to deface Hamas and the rest of the resistance groups.
