Mughniyeh commemorated in Tehran

A mourning ceremony was held in Tehran to commemorate Hezbollah's assassinated commander Imad Mughniyeh. On the sideline of the ceremony, a number of Iranian officials spoke to Qodsna on the future of the regional developments. Below are some of their comments.

Zionist regime in extreme ignorance – General

Iran's First Vice President Parviz Davoudi on Sunday in a celebration of the memory of the assassinated top Hezbollah leader, Imad Mughniyeh in Tehran told reporters that the assassination was as ignorant act of Zionist regime that will lead to its soon destruction.

Zionists think they can do anything but the tyrant regime must know there are other Mughniyehs in Hezbollah who are ready to combat against the regime.

Zionist regime is in a position now that ignores the wisdom and logic and never sees anything except persecution, he said.

The destruction of the regime is imminent, he said.

Ex-IRGC commander: Assassination of Mughniyeh, a great mistake of Zionist regime

Former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi said Sunday that the assassination of top Hezbollah commander, Imad Mughniyeh was a great mistake that Zionist regime committed.

Top advisor of the IR Leader described the blood of martyrdom of Mughniyeh as a driving force for the freedom of the Palestinian occupied territories as well as the occupied territories of Iraq and Afghanistan from the claws of the tyrants America and Zionist regime.

Annihilation of Zionism Imminent - General

A senior Iranian commander said that billions of oppressed and justice-seeking people worldwide will soon be filled with much joy and happiness when they hear the news of the eventual victory of Islam over the devilish front of Zionism.

In a message to the Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Saturday, commander of the General Staff of Iran's armed forces Major General Hassan Firoozabadi expressed his condolences to the Hezbollah chief on the martyrdom of the group's senior commander, Imad Mughniyeh in a car bomb in Damascus on Tuesday.

He further blasted the Israeli regime for Mughniyeh's assassination, and said that the act of terror was adopted by the Zionist regime in order to take revenge for its humiliating defeat during the 33-day war on Lebanon in summer 2006.

"The defeated and humiliated army of Israel and the leaders of this forged and hollow regime should know that the hero-breeding land of Lebanon…will nurture hundreds and thousands of such heroes under the inspiration of Imad Mughniyeh's blood and that combatants of the Lebanese and Palestinian Islamic resistance will continue the struggle until complete destruction of the Zionist regime and liberation of the entire Islamic land of Palestine.

"And the hearts of several billion oppressed and right-supporting people worldwide will soon be filled with overwhelming joy and happiness when they hear the news of the final victory of the front of Islam and destruction of the devilish front of Zionism," the General reiterated.
