Sudan students rally against Gaza blockade

Several thousand students at Khartoum universities demonstrated on Tuesday against the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip.

 

The demonstrators shouted anti-Israel slogans, with some unfurling banners calling for an end to "the massacre of Palestinian children" during the peaceful demonstration in central Khartoum amid a heavy police presence.

 

Palestinian students at Khartoum universities also took part in the demonstration that was organised by various student groups in the Sudanese capital.

 

The Gaza Strip, where most of the 1.5 million residents depend on aid, was sealed off last Thursday when Zionist regime closed all crossing points into the territory.
